- 独立,是与依赖、依附相反的状态。
- 意识形态领域:
- 一个独立的人、生物、行為,指其有独立的思想、独立的人格、有獨自生活的條件及自由意志。未必指該人能自給自足,而是它的行為與抉擇基本上不受他方影響。
- 一个独立国家或組織,指其统治和管理的权力由该国家或組織的人,基本上不受他方影響。
- 產業领域:
- 獨立製作,指不受財團、股東、唯利是圖的投資者等商業化的影響,由專業或業餘的創作者(或不干預創作者的投資者)自行集資、製作、發行,作品自由獨立的民營產業。例如:獨立電影、獨立音樂、独立博客、獨立遊戲、獨立書籍、獨立戲劇、獨立節目、獨立隊伍等等。
