- 英格蘭(英语:England),是大不列顛及北愛爾蘭聯合王國(英国)的一個構成國。虽然就传统上一般可以认为其政治地位相当于一个国家,但以国际通行标准上其仍然是一级行政区,与美国的州一致。位於大不列顛島的東南方,蘇格蘭以南,威尔士以東。是英国面積最大,人口最多,經濟最發達的一個部分。
- 在歷史上,英格蘭與蘇格蘭之間是以哈德良长城為界。英格蘭這個名字源自「盎格魯人」(Angles),其原名「Engla-lond」意为「盎格魯人之地」,他們繼凱爾特人之後來到這個地方,属日耳曼民族。
